    Vaillant. I used to think it bad that they made so many of the parts incororated themselves - but the parts ( and the boilers) just don't wear out just the rubbers! Vailllant are very understaffed so getting them out except to a new boiler aint easy to say the least

    Without a doubt cleaning the heat exchanger would be a very positive move particularly in the Portsmouth area which has a high chalk level. The exchanger should be of the sardine can type much easier to service than the previous used exchangers ( large bakalite exterior jobie)

    Local branch of "The Plumb Centre" will fix you up with parts at competative rates usually cheaper than buying online or otherwise. Other than rubbers these boilers Never wear out. Most everything on them can be Cleaned up and rejuvinated!
