Thanks mate, I assume best to take them up and replace, the Tongue and groove stuff is the 18mm chipboard, do you think this will suffice better than plywood

Hi, I am renovating the house room by room and just wondered the old floorboards are in a right mess, bits missing were they have been taken up over time etc. Should i take them up in the room and replace with the tongue and groove flooring or can i just plywood over the floorboards. Thanks Lee

Thanks mate, So issume if it is okay to do then it is possible to have the 3 lives and 3 neutrals going into the double socket that is already in situ.

There are already one set of cables in the live double which then spurs off to another double in another area, can the new one i am putting in also go into the live double that already has two cable in it, ie 2 live, 2 neutrals etc

I assume you would go for some other finish, i am only thinking gravel as like you say it's cheap and its not a driveway that people can see at the front of the house its round the rear so thought it did not matter that much

Hi, The electrician has been and moved a few cables around so i do not have to chase them in to the wall as the room is stripped right back so he was able to put them in the stud wall etc. I also want a new double socket on one wall so before he left he has run the cable under the floor boards...

I may keep the ceiling rose light and maybe have 3 small led's for mood lighting, can the sparky keep the ceiling light and put 3 spots of it but will he be able to do it so they can be lit independant to the ceiling rose or is this not possible of existing lighting.

I assume then that LED is best option and are there better makes to aim for.

Just wondered if anyone knew if anyone else apart from B&Q sell the link lighting outdoor system. The one were you can connect as many lights as you like and you just by the right transformer etc, or does anyone know of any other type of garden light system like this thats is user friendly. Thanks

Hi, I have taken down the Latt and plaster ceiling in the one of the bedrooms and wondered when i re board it etc i want to put spots in the ceiling. When i get a sparky in can he feed the spots from the the original light fitting in the ceiling, is that how he does it. Thanks Lee

Hi, I have a small outhouse with downstairs toilet and want to knock it down and rebuild it. Does this require planning or if i am rebuilding it does it need it or if it's under a certain size does it not need it. Lee
