Have just had a closer look at the broken safety switch and there are numbers all round the plastic side and one of the numbers is 251850 which is very like the number ( 251851 ) that was suggested by you.Had a look on line and couldn't find a part number 251850. So what do you think?

Hi the831Bunny When I fitted a new thermocouple and was fitting the wires back onto the safety switch, the switch fell apart.

Just a thought, is a safety switch and a overheat thermostat the same thing? Bcause Vaillant call the part I need a CH Overheat Thermostat.
