Thanks for your input, some regulation not been adhered to?? I doubt it, central heating system extended as regs and as per boiler requirements. Problem with stat was there before extension, it is just worse now as the room is bigger. Can you enlighten me as to what compromise means...

System as new installed in a new house circa 2006, have not made any adjustments other than replacing dial room stat for digi stat so bypass valves and TRV's there from same time. Testing right near valve?? Do you mean bypass valve??

TRV's on all rads except one in hallway where stat is. Pump is a Grundfos 130?, turned up to full speed (3). CH and HW on at mo, outlet pipe v hot. Will let you know how it gets on when just CH on.

Thanks for response, Boiler has plenty capacity to accept the additional rads, still some 8000 btu left until max preferred output reached. rads get v hot so no issue over flow, i was assuming problem was the temp reaching desired at the hallway stat quicker that in that room as it is a lot...
