I love it when it snows and the way the snow lies on trees it looks really nice and it feels so like christmas time,, sadly its not so nice when the road goes icy (its a bit of a pain when that happens) :D

I would agree with Nick98. Kiln sand in big gaps is no use. use a semi dry mix of sand and cement and brush it into the gaps, and compact it down/finish it off with a piece of piping. Brush the slabs off properly after, to make sure you dont leave any cement mix on top of the slabs. :wink:

Today me and my granda roughcaster went to boat of garten osprey center. We seen a capercallie which are very very rare it was amazing to see it everyone went mental when we found out it was there. It was a lovley bird. has enyone else seen one????

My Grandad had one of those small greenhouses in the garden. his was placed on small stone chippings and he also fixed it to the fence to stop it blowing over in the wind. I hope that helps.

I was at granny and grandad roughcasters house last summer when he told me about his "pet blackbird" :lol: there was a blackbird nest in his trellis with a few babys. that is the second year they have been and there nest was made out of grass and moss, and even small bits of my grandads...

Its easier in the long run to plaster before the kitchen goes in, even though some areas might be covered with the units. But if this is not possible,it can be plastered afterwards, but you would need to take great care not to damage the units. youngroughtcaster

Hi Beks, the tape has come loose,, take the whole length of tape off and put a new one on. By the time it takes you to cut small loose bits out, it's quicker to renew the whole length. A taper/painter would put a new tape on for you in no time at all, its not a big job. Just sand it down when...

I don't think a privet hedge would do any harm to the wall, if its planted a good distance away from it as you said. It will certainly be nicer to look at than a old wall.
