    UPVC windows with no locks?

This is the lounge: Also the lounge: This is the front bedroom: I checked the locking mechanism on the actual window frames. The handles power two metal cylinders that move left and right as you twist the handle. Is it just a case of changing the handles or security wise is it...

    UPVC windows with no locks?

A couple of them are cockspurs(I checked on google images), but have absolutely no locking mechanism on the handle, I'm used to ones where you have a key lock. A couple aren't, I 'think' they lock the window when you twist them (as in you can't push it open anymore) but I'd have to double...

Plastic water pipes - distance from electrics?

So at the very least do something like ____________ Electric cable ========= Cold water ========= Hot water Preferably spacing the water pipes further rather than closer to the electrics cables. I really wish I could remember exactly what he said about the electric/copper...

Plastic water pipes - distance from electrics?

So they don't need to be separated by a certain distance like copper pipes? Or they do...? I reckon I could definitely get them 2"/50mm away if required.

However I remember him saying that copper piping had to be a certain distance from electrical wire. Is the same true for plastic pipes? If so how far...

Where are the supports on my staircase?

Yes, the staircase rises for a couple of metres, then there is a 70cm x 70cm (ish) landing (just above the breeze blocks in the picture), then it turns to the right 90 degrees and continues up the next 30-50cm onto the main landing.

    UPVC windows with no locks?

There are no locking mechanisms on the window at all from what I can feel/see. The handles just twist down to hold the window shut. I will get some photos tomorrow.

Where are the supports on my staircase?

Pictures as promised This is the understairs cupboard, the blue side facing the camera is actually just a piece of painted MDF over the original doorframe. And this is the opening that was originally bricked up This is a couple of views of what is above the cupboard, presumably...

    UPVC windows with no locks?

A couple of the UPVC windows have no locks on them at all (not even locking handles). The windows I'm referring to are the two small windows on the ground floor lounge window. And also the two on the upstairs bedroom window. I estimate each one is about 50cm x 20cm (ish). Is it...
