Hi
As you can see from the attached photos, we have existing pebbledash on the first floor of our Edwardian semi. The previous owner had the whole house covered in Tyrolean, straight over the top of wires, was a poor job. I have had this removed and now want to redo the original dash on the...
yes v pleased with them, and yes the timber effect were similar in price to timber. I particularly like the cornice above each bay.
@Notch7 You said for side trims “we’ll same thing” did you mean you would go for plastic there too?
here’s a pic of what the front of the house used to look...
We have had new timber windows installed at front of our Edwardian semi. Will be putting a drip on top of window before we repair pebbledash on part of this front elevation. My dad, builder of 50 years experience, who wanted me to put uPvc windows in, says if you were so keen to have wooden...
So Ive got a sample of polar white spar 3 - 8 mm, the stones look smaller than on neighbouring houses, so would like to go a bit bigger than the sample maybe 10mm. Cant get them in polar white though. The dasher recommended putting something else on like maybe Canterbury Spar i suppose, and then...
so I can get the area pebble dashed for half this price. Been thinking we would use polar white spa but been told its more of an off white. Any one got a pic or any experience of it being used for dashing?
I’ve seen something called k rend silicone dash receiver, after it’s applied I suppose the house is dashed in a similar method to normal dashing?
got a quote for a grand to do 1st floor front elevation in this stuff

sorry I was taking rubbish. It’s not the shininess of the paint it’s the “spongy” textured look of the mdf that she doesn’t like. So would the tulip be better?
Hi
Been quoted same price for architraves, picture rail in either tulipwood or MDF.
My wife thinks that mouldings in MDF look a bit too shiny (!?) when painted, but do any of you have any experience of tulipwood and would you recommend it?
Thanks
Hi
Apparently we need to have a fire door between our garage which is attached to our house and our utility room which is on the route into the house, and which I want to be as secure as possible. Cant I use an external front door between the garage and utility? Or any other ideas for what...
What do you think of these?
imperial Handmade (new): 1st are “weathered” london yellow stock.
2nd London yellow stock
Which would you vote for No 1 photo or no 2 photo?
thanks
Thanks, I got these through a brick matching company, but they charge £1.90 a brick (seems dear)
I can get 1000 for £1400 of reclaimed yellow stocks from another company but these in the photo seem a pretty good Match?
