Type of system ,ie conventional or a combi ?, age ?, are there thermostatic valves?

I had to change the main pcb on one of these last week , sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldnt , when I removed the old pcb you could see the contacts on the relay were black making the boiler work sometimes but not others .

Cus originally had a venturi shower fed of mains pressure cold and hot from the cylinder , there is no way without major disruption of getting equal pressure feeds to the shower , so new normal valve fitted with a pressure equalising valve , shower pressure is now pretty poor , is it possible...

why are BES ones £40 and toolstation ones £80 are they both as good quality or are toolstation ones better ???

Cus wants to replace his venturi shower which was fed via mains pressure cold feed and a hot feed off the cylinder . He wants just a normal bar type shower valve . There is no way to convert the cold feed to a tank fed cold . Can a pressure reducing valve be used to make the two pressures equal...

the extension sockets should make the phone ring if wired correctly , terminals 2 and 5 make the phone work and terminal 3 needs to be connected to make the phones plugged into the extensions ring.

We have different ones for dropwire then for normal 0.5 pairs

As I am an openreach engineer I think I know that you can use jellies on this type of dropwire how else do you think we connect to it when we cant replace it all ?????

we use gel crimp connectors to make a waterproof join and then use a rould click together closure to keep it dry , as a temporary measure electrical chock blocks and tape will work but it wont lat long as the water will get in

Cant do a system restore it wont work , several things wont work , ie system tools has dissapeared along with disc clean up , disc defrag etc

I didnt do a reinstall , I used the recovery option but I think I will have to do as you say and move all the files I want onto a seperate hard drive.

If i do this and format a new drive then reinstall windows onto it will this cure all my administrator rights and let me use windows update and install ie 8???
