Fitted a new direct hot water cylinder today in work for my boss and tidied up some pipework. Filled Cylinder and had 2 small leaks on the blanking plugs. Drained down cylinder,removed plugs, removed ptfe tape and reapplied fresh ptfe tape. Filled cylinder back up and still get a itzy bitzy weep...

Screw them both to the floor m8, but with the upstairs be carefull on the length of screws you use in case there are pipes under the boards. Drill and plug the downstairs loo, mark carefully and all will be well.

I understand you can pack the gland on a rad valve to stop it weeping, but how do u do this?. Do you need to drain down in order to do this? Whats the correct way to do it. Many thanx for your replies.
