I am 36 and close to finish my tech cert lvl 2, and i aint no youngster there is even a guy on the course older than myself at 39. Now for the hard part, getting some experiance :( . Oh at least another year for lvl 3 its a long hard slogg but i hope in the end it will pay off for me.

32mm = 1.25 inch as clf-gas says for basins . 40mm = 1.5 inch for sinks. Dont use 32/1.25 for your kitchen sink it will be prone to blocking.

The small tank is your Feed and Expansion Tank which should have a copper pipe over the top of it ( this is your vent pipe). If the vent pipe is discharging continously into the F&E tank then that could be a problem with your boiler overheating.

Turn heating off whenever your bleeding rads or in this case removing them, that's all your doing is heating water and throwing it away expense to yourself.

Agree wonderboy with regards carrying spares e.g fibrewashers etc. Also i try and buy quality tools only, they are more expensive but they should last longer and are of a much better quality.
