    Rounding coombed ceiling

I have just finished plasterboarding an upstairs extension, unfortunately the new roof trusses are slightly out on the 45 degree angle. This leaves a dip on the coomb between the extension and the original part. I think the only way to make this less noticeable is to round that angle. What would...

2 gang Light and Fan switch - Can't find one

Thanks for the replies. :) The problem with the grid switches is the back box for drywall, not seen any. The fan doesn't have a run on, it's just on or off.

2 gang Light and Fan switch - Can't find one

At the moment the bathroom has the fan switch (isolator) and the shower switch on the wall in the hall and the light switch on a pull cord inside. I would like to get rid of the pull cord and put the light switch in the hall. I have been looking for a 2 gang switch with one for the fan and...

    LED lumen equvalent to halogen

I'm trying to find equivalent LEDs for our MR16 bulbs in our kitchen. When I look at the Philips bulbs we have the details are: 50W Beam: EXN 36° Lumens: 1500 When I look at comparative LEDs the details are: MR16 High Power LED (20 piece SMD 5050, 320 Lumens, 50 watts equiv.) How can it...

Filling joints between plywood sheets before laying Amtico

Yes, it's timber joists. I assume you wanted to know because of the flexibility of timber joists?

Filling joints between plywood sheets before laying Amtico

Hi We have just built an extension for the kitchen and I am going to lay 40m2 of Amtico tiles. I have put 8x4 sheets of 6mm ext ply down but wanted to know what to fill the gaps with. I have laid Karndean tiles before but over a much smaller area so managed to get away without there being...

Two consumer units, okay or not?

I think maybe another reason for not managing to get a 12 way at short notice is that it needs to be an MEM unit. This is so that all our existing MCBs can be reused. I am going to see if I can find one in stock myself, what model MEM would be the one to get?

Two consumer units, okay or not?

I think he forgot about it as it's been a few months since we started work on the extension. They were supposed to come today, snowed in so has been postponed, and he rang last night. As it's going to be a while before I can arrange for them to come I will ask for a 12 way.

Two consumer units, okay or not?

That's exactly what the electrician proposes as he phoned me to ask the size of the existing CU and if there was any space at the side.
