    Isolator on extractor fan

Which lead do you mean and what do you mean by 'gone'? Plus we would need to see which wire is connected to what; not just a cable between two accessories. Yes, you can remove it. It is not a regulation requirement.

Is this main breaker box and subpanel setup correct?

Is there a stated reason for doing that?

    Fair enough.

Can I link a fused spur to a ring

Yes, and you don't need an FCU as there will be a fuse in the hood plug. There is no regulation saying an FCU has to do that. The breaker in the consumer unit covers it. Ok. If the hood extracts to outside then the "chimney" is just a decorative cover not carrying any fumes or grease.

Can I link a fused spur to a ring

It doesn;t have to. Ok. Yes. Ok. But you could just have one cable from the socket to the FCU (the cable is the spur). It would save cutting the ring. Of course there isn't a minimum length.

    yet another earthing/bonding thread...

It probably will not do any harm - especially for the gas - as the internal pipes will be connected to the heating system earth wiring. Some water pipes possibly might not be connected to any earthing so would be better NOT bonded.

    yet another earthing/bonding thread...

You do not need to bond internal pipework if the pipe emerging from the ground does not require bonding.

Which sections are those? You are if you know how and have the equipment - anyone is.

    New c u cable extension

No. Yes, some of them have 'L' and 'N' marked on them. Duh! Of course. I have heard it mentioned before but It doesn't really matter what the reason is, does it. Do you think the manufacturers mark the switches for no reason? D'oh! You have drawn me in again to your ever-expanding questions.

    New c u cable extension

I did not say nor imply that the polarity did not matter nor should be ignored. If a switch can be fitted on the other side then obviously it is either made the other way round or the polarity doesn't matter and won't be marked.
