Replacing Storage Heaters with Panel Heaters

Hey guys, I've finally decided to get rid of the storage heaters because I'd like more control over the heating (I also have a wood burner thats on most of the time so overnight the storage heaters + fire is just too much). They'll mainly be used for background heat downstairs just to keep the...

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

I'm 99% sure they are there as I distinctly remember all the boards up on the landing. It's the only reasonable way to route them form the consumer unit around the upstairs

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

Sorry thats my bad use of terminology! 2.5mm T&E :) From tiling the bathroom I found the lighting cables are behind the shower in the corner (void created by D&D) and the existing spur must run under the shower so it doesnt run as far as the landing. I suspect the rest of the socket cabling...

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

Relatively easy - it needs kneeling again anyway it feels really loose. The problem is where I get the flex from as any cutting joining under the boards will need to be accessible or properly crimped? All the 2.5mm flex runs across the landing from the bathroom.

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

It's a switched spur Nah theres not enough depth between the tile surface and the back of the door. Wouldnt be convenient I think this is definately what I should be aiming for, putting a spur on the landing. It's figuring out how best to get it there form the current spur position! 4 inch...

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

Definitely seems like a more sensible option, although it'll mean chasing out and plastering over afterwards. What about the existing spur - just go straight up the wall?

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

Where the current spur is, dot and dab onto blockwork, other side of the door is the rubbish council house egg box walls. Yup theres a space up there.

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

Yup its all certified - it just needs moving without tearing our tiles!

Extending Heated Towel Rail Element Flex

Hey guys, Titles probably a bit misleading...but I've attached a few pictures to move things along :) For some unfathomable reason we asked the sparky to put the spur for the towel rail behind the door. After tiling its painfully obvious there is no way to fit it there. I probably should have...

    Wall mounted bath tap problem

I'll grab a picture now, but yes I've secured the pipework it isn't going anywhere. Unfortunately the fitter I employed basically made all the pipework out of leftovers (or is a moron). Its a complete ****ing mess but its servicable!

    Wall mounted bath tap problem

Hey guys, Been refitting my bathroom and founds the bath spout poorly secured behind the false wall that sits inside the window recess. However, now I've secured the pipework and boarded with 12.5mm plasterboard and tiles with 9mm ceramic tiles; there is very little thread for me to grab on to...

    Extending 1kW panel heater

So if I grab some 0.75 3 core upvc flex and one of those connectors it should be mustard? The connectors going to be hidden behind furniture anyways.

    Extending 1kW panel heater

I did have a look last night to see how easy it would be to access the terminals. Looks a bit faffy taking the casing apart. If I go down extending the flex how do I chose the correct rating for it?

    Extending 1kW panel heater

Hey guys, Theres only one place I can fit the panel heater, but the cable is probably 300mm too short. Whats the right way to extend it?

    UPVC Window Cill Installation

L shape dwarf wall so window (approx 1.3m) corner post window (approx 450mm) frame coupler door That was pretty much my concern. Thought, if I start with the side window then there will literally be fixings on each side and nothing in between - seems too few to me. Maybe if I fix the cill...
