    Neat laminate Carpet transition options?

Sorry I never did update this thread. I emailed the Laminate company and they don't do accesories in the UK. In the end the carpet fitter sourced a Quick Step plate - very difficult to colour match sadly and it was a bit of a compromise but is good quality.

    Neat laminate Carpet transition options?

In my home office I am having new carpet fitted expect for the part of the office where the desk is. Here there will be laminate. Both the carpet and laminate will be a similar hue (light oak). There will be a single straight 1.9m transition between carpet/laminate. The 2 parts are being...

Laminate Step edging problem help required please

Thanks. I do have nearly a box spare. Will have to hunt out an Indy Flor specialist in Manchester. As to the Aluminium Nosing - looks good but do they come in faux-wood coverings do you know? Would prefer that to the jarring of metal on wood for that area.

Laminate Step edging problem help required please

Would appreciate some help. Had a room laminated which has a step leading down to a split-level lounge area. It looks great apart from a problem with the edging on the step: builder struggled to find anything matching to finish this edge (there is matching beading everywhere else) so put an...

Can this door be trimmed to the size I need?

Many thanks for your patient help. I can see some light at the end of the tunnel now! Will look to get the 1981 x 686 and get an internal trim to reduce the gaps (or rather I will get someone to do it who knows what to do! :D )

Can this door be trimmed to the size I need?

Aah fair point. Compared to the door that is there which has a ridiculously big space at the top I think we could live with that. Is adding a thin strip to the door frame on either side to reduce the width a little feasible as well? Still 3cm from the top and bottom :(

Can this door be trimmed to the size I need?

Got you - good analogy thanks. I have found the 726mm version but these are 2040 height and doorframe is 1920 height so would need to cut 120 in height from them :(

Can this door be trimmed to the size I need?

I am getting 4 panel Oak Shaker Glazed doors for 3 downstairs rooms and to keep a theme would like the non-glazed one for the downstairs understair bathroom. The one I have seen: http://www.howdens.com/doors-joinery-collection/internal-doors/internal-hardwood-doors/4-panel-oak-shaker/ is...

What alarm wired/wireless with phone notification and cats!

Great Thanks. I will recommend he goes down the Yale route. As for Upstairs PIR - does this system now allow a 2nd "Partial Set" option for nighttime which activates all except (say) that landing PIR?
