    Dewalt SDS Corded Differences?

Currently got a Dewalt 18v Cordless Combi which has left me needing a bit more power on some recent jobs, so started looking at corded SDS's. But why is the Dewalt D25052KT more expensive than the Dewalt D25133K? On most of the spec the cheaper one is better. Any others to consider such as the...

Shower / Hair rinse regs for distance from toilet

Just stick a longer hose on the blooming thing and be done with it. Obviously the original installers hands are tied and quite rightly so, but as the householder just dont bidet your ass with it.

Gas safety checks - new house purchase

Naive. Who paid for it? If it was the vendor, forget it and move on with your life. There is no requirement for them to have even done the boiler.

    Polyphosphate scale inhibitor position

As above but also remember that if you water stuff in the garden use the aforementioned tap that is before the inhibitor. A minor point but worth noting. Also, I had one in a previous property and I could actually taste it in the water as well.

Water pipe snapped off , could do with some advice

My link was a compression stop end. 1. Cut pipe straight 2. Debur end of pipe 3. Open the fitting 4. Slide bottom 'open' end onto pipe 5. Put closed end onto end of pipe 6. Tighten together 7. Have a beer knowing you now have spanners for next time. There will be a next time.

    My En-Suite Refit. Photos

Halogen spots were there already but were not ip65 (to my horror when i discovered over the shower) so I swapped them out for ip65 and LED gu10s. No new circuit, no part p. (Hopefully) Extractor and shaver socket not touched.

    Decking Subframe Sloping Site

I've asked for this to be moved. Baring in mind the bottom end will be about 5ft high, which one of these will be best: 1. 100x100mm posts at 800mm centres concreted in 600mm deep. Joists then at 400mm centres. Or 2. As above but posts surface mounted on a 400x400x400mm concrete base using...

    Decking Subframe Sloping Site

Hi all Just starting to plan a new bit of raised decking at the bottom of my sloping garden. The slope is such that at the bottom of the garden, the deck will be around 5ft off the ground with the top end level with the ground (not connected to the house though). I am after some advice for...

Replacing spring clip for bathroom spotlight

Your first photo appears to show a gu10 bulb with the correct lamp holder to the right. How have u connected up the terminal block to the left? Your second photo is just a metal surround and is largely irrelevant to the electrics.
