max beam span for flat roof?

The kingspan TR31 Boards differ greatly I've found. You'll be looking at AROUND about £40 a board as an estimate, Depends where you get them from. Celotex also do a similar Insulation & decking in one called the TD4000 (i think). That maybe worth a look as an alternative.

    stone guttering needs sealing/lining

I'd go for EPDM lining, Basically a pond liner.......Just what you need lol. Joking apart, EPDM will come in 1 single sheet lining in the gutter.......NO JOINS! Easily stuck and sealed to the gutter. Life expectency 40+ yrs, Job done!

    cost of replacing flat roof

Total strip would be the best value for money to be honest. Maybe go back to the EPDM quote and see if they can beat any other quote you've had?? I think the EPDM company should be able to beat the GRP on price any day..........

Advice for a flat roof needed

The good thing about the EPDM is that you can get it in one big sheet with no joins. With felt, you'll have joins.... probably several. And I dont care what anybody says, Joins on any flat roof is a weak point.

    Pitched or Flat?

If going flat, I'd go EPDM or Fibreglass, Depending on budget etc etc. If its a new extension then them 2 flat roof coverings are far superior than felt. Felt - 15-20yrs max EPDM 20-50yrs ongoing FG - Same as EPDM if fitted well but costs hell of alot more than both of the above, But...

Do I need a new roof?

    1. a new roof is needed urgently 2. Only maintenance, replacing about 40 tiles and some repointing is needed. 3. The white efflorescence on the tiles means they are porous and letting water into the roof. 4. All roofs of this age (1930) have to be replaced. 1. Not urgently at all. 2...

Yeah. A small screw will do the job, silicone will work for a bit..... but the screwing will sort it until you have new guttering!

    kingspan insulation

You were going to use the Kingspan cavity insulation?!! You need the one with 6mm ply already bonded to it, The Kingspan TR31. You should know this having 30 yrs exp surely? lol

    kingspan insulation

Yes, Cant see why not to be honest, T/O may be best because if you pour it may go in between the gaps of the boards, But i'm sure that wont matter, Not much should seep through.

    Gutter Leak - Fixed...Leaking again...Fixed....Leaking again

If the leak is at a join where 2 lengths of gutter meet up just go and buy a new joiner? Its called the union, Unclip your old one re-clip in the new one should be no more than a few quid. Gutter sealent is only really a short term fix IMO, What tends to perish is the rubber seals that...

    Kingspan Warm Roof?

Thanks for the reply... So it'll be alright to put plyboard on top of the joists and then fix the Kingspan TR31 on top of the new ply? The Kingspan TR31 has the 6mm ply already bonded on, So it seems a waste of time decking and then insulating when the Kingspan TR31 board come all in one...

    Kingspan Warm Roof?

Hi, Am I right in thinking a warm roof is constructed by installing the Kingspan TR31 directly on top of the joists and then the waterproofing?? I may be doing a job where the bloke wants plyboard decking on the joists 1st and then the Kingspan TR31 put on top of that and then...
