Rebedding hip bonnets?

Hi there folks!

I'm going to rebed some hip bonnets for a family member and just wondered where do you start? The top of the hip or the bottom?

Any other tips would be great,

from the bottom up ideally, nailing as you go.
not so easy patching though.

Start at the bottom and you may need to use 4" galv clouts.
