    Cheapest way to fill potholes

Again, totally makes sense..........but I was really hoping not to do that and opt for the old, 'bodge' job.....:)

    Cheapest way to fill potholes

This bit of concrete was put in over 10 years ago - granted, it's broken up and has failed but if I fill them with concrete and get 5 years out of them then I'd be happy, because I'll have moved house by then! I get that this is the proper way and one that will last. What if I sweep out all...

Would it be better with ballast to concrete it then? What ratio are you talking?

I'm not even bothered about it being dyed black, to be honest.

    Cooker switch

I don't think it's there anymore. Nothing happens when I turn it off. Whilst we were remodelling the kitchen the first electrician we had tore out a load of cable where the cooker used to be and I went mental with him as I still wanted power to that side of the kitchen. After I booted him off...

    Cooker switch

It's a dual fuel range (Rangemaster Elan) with a lpg gas top, an electric grill and two ovens.

    Cooker switch

It's just an oven (double range type). If this is the case then would a 13a switch work? I ask this because since we upgraded the oven we haven't been able to use both side simultaneously as it'll blow the fuse. Also, the same socket circuit powers the kettle and the microwave so sometimes...

    Cooker switch

It looks like my cooker is connected via a fused switch where a double socket at either end is attached. I'd previously had a 13a switch which kept blowing (clearly!) so what do I replace it with? Is there any reason I can't put in a 45a cooker switch in? I bought one of these but it's...

    What crimp terminals are these?

What terminals are these and where can I get them? (It's from a Pifco electric blanket socket) If it comes with the socket then does anyone know if i can just replace that part? I'm also wanting the socket cable protector that's snapped.

    Primer colour?

So in case anyone was interested - I contacted Leyland paints who told me that I should paint the rest of the shed with the primer, then a coat of grey undercoat and then the Barn paint. The undercoat I've already done should be re-coated and then painted with the Barn paint. So I opted against...

    Primer colour?

I've just started to paint a shed with Leyland grey primer and I've run out. Like an idiot I've just been and collected 5ltrs but when I've opened it up it's white. Does it matter? I'm painting over it with black barn paint. Should I tint it and if so, with what? The leyland it water based...

    Tree stumps

Because the roots don't just fan out horizontally - you just think you've got it and will it chuff shift - till you realise there's loads more roots heading straight down - arrrgh!!!

    Waterproof t junction connector

Done and working fine - I used the connector blocks and managed to get it all connected - bit of a fiddle and not the best design but it'll do for now. Thanks for all the input!

    Waterproof t junction connector

Why would I need resin cast? It's not an armoured cable. I can buy a IP66 junction box and stick it on the wall and it'll do the job of getting the cables connected. This unit, other than the connector blocks, seems to be pretty well made and good tight fittings and it's 'supposed' to be...

    Waterproof t junction connector

Good idea, I might try that. I did try crimping a spade connector to the cable but the ones I had were too big and not long enough. It is a crap design.
