    Wireless alarm recommendation

True, the PIR's in kits tend to be the lowest spec ones...........any personal experience with poor texecom wireless ones?

    Wireless alarm recommendation

thanks sparkymarka, Kit looks good value, looks like id just need a battery and cover for the sounder (+another contact)?? I love the texecom prem PIRS, have always fitted the DT's or TD's and have never had any problems regarding false alarms, even when placing in garages/sheds with rodents...

Hi guys Am after a recomendation for a wireless alarm. Im an industrial sparks so dont generally do alarms but i have done a dozen or so in the past, Accenta or Texecom prem 24 usually. They have all been wired systems programmed with wintex. I am wanting to fit a wireless alarm to a...

    Alarm panel and PIR recommendations

Cheers Relative has decided to go with the prem elite 24 which im happy about as im familiar with the panel. On the subject of the PIR's, i have used the prem elite TD and DT before but never used the high immunity IR or Quad element versions. How good are the IR and Quad versions for the...

    Alarm panel and PIR recommendations

Looks like veritas might be the way to go as i will need a bit of room inside as some of the wires will need extending. Either that or convince them to have the prem elite and have a keypad mounted at the side of it. Does the veritas except eol? and do the prem elite pir’s work with it?

    Texecom premier elite, two keypads

Those are the ones yep, have a look at the different types, they do a few different versions which you could decide on depending on where they are being fitted (i.e, garage, conservatory). They have resistors built in and you can alter ‘jumper’ clips inside for different resistance values...

    Alarm panel and PIR recommendations

Veritas is cheap so appeals, any difference between this and the veritas r8? They both easy to program? I take it the veritas cant utilise EOL wiring? But i guess they take the texecom premier elite pir’s like the td or dt? Cheers

    Texecom premier elite, two keypads

I believe so yes aslong as the panel hasnt been set up to prevent this. You need to get hold of the manual from the internet for the prem elite panels, it looks daunting but its really a straight forward read..... have a go at wiring your system as EOL. Get some prem elite sensors with built...

    Texecom premier elite, two keypads

Thats exactly what i have at my house. Prem elite 24 panel hidden away, keypad at entry door and one on upstairs landing so can set at night. Works very well. You could do with the wintex software and usbcom cable to program it on your laptop and transfer to panel.....makes everything a million...

I installed a premier elite panel in my house 18 month back, eol wired. All running ok no issues. I am wanting to add a PIR to my garage as i feel its needed. Can anyone shed any light on if its wise to PIR the garage (which is not attached to house). I have a spare Texecom prem elite DT sensor...

    Options for new shower circuit

To be honest, any shower i do these days i strongly recommend a 10mm cable, makes sense for the modest price difference. I think seperate shower consumer will be the way i will go as atleast i can be happy with it.

    Options for new shower circuit

yeah ive used the 60898 new plug in ones plenty of times. Customer has already bought a 10.5Kw shower . A couple of years ago i got called to a CU that was smoking and smelling. The 63A main switch was burnt up which looked like it started internally (not a loose tails connection) which...

    Options for new shower circuit

I did wonder about the supply fuse size but luckily there is a Rec isolator after the meter so i wouldnt have to pull it, appreciatively that doesnt help if the additional load was too much for it. A 60A fuse would 'protect' the RCCB but id be worried if it blew one day and a network guy just...
