    It is a ceiling, I have been told to use 4x1 battens over the existing artex and plaster board. Should the battens run in the same direction of the plasterboards. Thanks Ian

    I am just fitting new 7" skirting board which will be painted. A builder who was doing some work for me said that I should consider MDF instead as the wood will move. I will be using No more nails type adhesive to stick the new boards. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks Ian
