Now chipboard is dry, it's 1mm thicker.
decided to over board with 6mm ply. Is it best to glue & screw ? If the tiles I use are say 10mm, will 4mm of adhesive be ok.

Why is chipboard the worst thing to tile on. (except carpet)
I was advised my by local builkder merchant, that tiling onto chipborad in a bathroom was ok, so I installed 22mm P5, which I can not take up. The max thickness I can have including tiles, adhesive, ply / backerboard etc is 20mm...
Option 2, it is.
9mm ply has been used to line all the walls in all rooms, with plasteboard over the top. Had to do this as the trusses were designed for max room.

Following a loft conversation I now need to install the bath against 3 walls and with a shower over the bath. Stud walls are lined with 9mm plywood, for strength only.

I'm replacing a porch floor as it had sunk and cracked after 40 years (2" cement on clay). I have dug out about 12" below the floor level, put put in 6" hardcore.

How should you title round an external corner e.g. window, as most of the tiles I have seen do not have the edges glazed. I do not want to use the plastic corner strips.
