    Works need to be checked by water board so as to ensure by pass of meter etc has not been done, failure WILL result in prosecution. Up to £1000.00 fine I believe!!!!

    Booming Boiler!!!

    Sounds like it is an "exploding gas valve" which means it is sticking to a point where pressure will open it fully.get the guy back he should have spotted this. Or get another opinion from another corgi guy!

    If it is the PRV that is now dripping then it would be cheaper to replace the boiler.. as for someone blocking it...it may take some proving?

    Central Heating system drained for a year

    Problems liklely are you could have sludge dried out in radiators, valves, manifold, and the pump...get some fernox or similar once you have filled the system let this stuff do its work. Then get it out and re-fill........search the forum under flushing.

    HELP! Probs with 1 rad.

    Close the down stairs rad off both ends bleed the upstairs one close it , run the rest of the system, open the down stairs one at both ends slightly do the same with the upstairs one........hopefully you can balance the two to a happy medium.

    The easiest way to reduce the pressure is by the pressure release valve.......if you don't know where or what it is then loosen the bleed screw on a radiator. You only want 1-1.5 bar pressure max as for the pipe I need more info.

    landlord certificates

    Visual condition, saftey device operating correctly,ventillation, flue fume spillage test, operating pressure, flow test,check fuse (3amp) but no internal inspection of the flue. Must be done by a corgi registed engineer. Also it cannot be done by the landlord even if he is a corgi engineer.

    Steam in loft - central heating ?

    Sound like the pump has gone the pipe going into the loft box (expansion tank) is it coming from a copper cyinder? If so it is doing it's job correctly sending hot water to cool in the tank as it is not circulating and cooling in the radiators...(pump goosed)...... MERRY XMAS.

    radiators not heating completly

    The radiators will need bled but it sounds like you have other problems possibly a thermistor is needed..........best get a heating engineer to see to it.

    Try bleeding the pump...is the pump actually running.

    Operating pressure, check flue normally change thermo couple, check burners, check igittion- pilot light, clean any deposits. Check for fume spillage, check gas safety shut off is working correctly check adequate ventilation. Normally 1 hour.
