Had an intermittent fault with the boiler - it would only light if I gave the pressure switch(5009040) a knock........I decided to install a new pressure switch, all quite easy, only two vacuum hoses to transfer over and a couple of wires.
I still have to give the NEW pressure switch a knock...
My 20yr old Hotpoint has passed on to washing machine heaven - cost wise, BEKO washing machines looks good - I haven't clue about the brand, does anyone have any experience of BEKO products, warranty etc ?
Should I avoid ?
Many thanks.
No specific problem - it has been an age since it was serviced and I thought it was high time it had a going over by a engineer that is familiar with Ravenheat boilers !
Many thanks.
Hi...........I have a Ravenheat combi boiler that could do with a service - can you recommend a reputable service engineer in the Northampton area(NN7)......many thanks....:-)
Hi...thanks for the reply...there's certainly a mains power lead running close to where the push ignitions switch is - isolator switch is on !
I can't see any signs of a battery.
I have a Creda gas hob which is about 15yrs old - the push button ignition for the gas rings has stopped sparking, any ideas - is there a battery involved ?
Many thanks !
Does anyone have any experience of these two companies:
phJones or warmsure
They both offer annual service maintenance contracts and they're good value too, what their service is like is another question ?
Good, bad or indifferent ?
Many thanks.
Which would you recommend for an annual boiler maintenance contract:
http://www.phjones.co.uk/home
http://www.homeserve.com/
They both offer good value, does anyone have any experience of the service they provide, good, bad or indifferent ?
Many thanks!
I have a 15yr old Ravenheat combi boiler, I think the time has arrived to take out an annual boiler maintenance contract, who would you recommend, there are a number of players in the market place but am unsure as to who offers the best value, I hope you can point me in the right direction ...
I had an engineer out and a blocked pressure switch(5009040) seems to be the problem; there's also a couple of tubes which connect onto the switch, he gave them a blow out and all is back to normal. He thought the pressure switch might go altogether at some point.
I think I'll purchase one...
Many thanks for the advice......if there's a registered engineer, who is familiar with the Ravenheat system and doesn't charge the earth, please give me a shout, I live near to Northampton.
Many thanks,
Steve
Hi Tony, thank you for the reply.....I have to admit the boiler has not been serviced for a number of years'......the pressure is approximately 1.5bar.
If there's an engineer out there who is familiar with this boiler and who won't rip me off please get in touch. I live near Northampton...
