I'm not paying much attention to cost, however you can have a go at working it out yourself:

The fittings do add up, e.g. long tee is about a fiver:

On a budget you'd size it...
Roof straps
Was going to shove in a bit of builder's band but then had another idea. These jiffy hangers are the cheapest at screwfix. Note in the picture, 4 screws, not 2 you need to stop the wood block twisting.
Always hit them with a lump hammer, it's just not the same with a smaller...
It comes by many names Interclamp, guard rail etc... but you probably know what I mean. I've been planning for some time to try out a garden structure and I thought I'd share what I'm learning along the way. I think the hardest part was figuring out how to put some kind of roof on and I feel...
Yeah, I know it's an old thread, but I felt some extra info was warranted.
Many designs assume 50Nm torque so this is a good rule of thumb for a minimum. Unfortunately, corroded bolt threads result in less grip of the fitting for a given torque, so it may be worth going a bit higher if that's...
Hi All,
If I put a garden building next to a railway and it's taller than 2.5m (and less than 2m from the boundary), how likely is that to get planning permission? Is that something the railway routinely refuses or am I in with a shout? I'm assuming the council would normally contact them for...
Unfortunately neither of those are going to work for me as it's so uneven. I'll just try again with epoxy, maybe a different type. I'll get there in the end, don't worry.
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but thought I should share my experiences for others benefit. My attempt with the Epoxyset 105 over the week-end was a total disaster. Maybe it was partly my fault. It's three-part with some aggregate, and then two solutions that you mix together for the epoxy...
I'm sure they are all very nice people, no comment about that! One thing I didn't put down was delivery times which also vary, but for me that doesn't matter, e.g. Actavodirect had a 6-10 day delivery option for £25, others are next-day.
Local has always meant expensive for me. And when you have to ask the price it's usually too much anyway. I noticed all the above online places are based further north, I thought it would be interesting for people to see where they were based, so they can compare the widely varying delivery...
