    Garage insulating

Well little update - with this freezing weather i've found the moisture resistat chipboard on the walls is allowing damp to come through :( I'm guessing it's from the outside so maybe the polystyrene isn't doing its job? should i pull the board off and place another layer of kingspan/ celotex...

Skoda Octavia I.6 FSI Sept 2006 - Rear windscreen washer.

Do you smell screenwash in the car? Is there a stain/ damp patch on the headlining near the back neext to the hatch? Golfs have a connection there which also comes loose (remove trim around headlining and drop headlining slightly to get to pipe)

    Immobiliser or key.

If it carried on driving (even with no dash lights) then it can't be the imobiliser. Does starter turn or does it just click? Does central locking work and all other electrics (windows, etc) Check all fuses Check earth wire to starter + battery

    Garage project

Well had the 20ftx10ft sectional garage up for 3 years and after the last couple of bad winters where it was freezing inside i've now added some insulation. Polystyrene was fitted behind the moisture resistant chipboard on the walls and Celotex was fitted to the roof, the floor was covered in...

    Garage insulating

The polystyrene is 25mm thick which i thought would be ok? If i use polythene directly behind the chipboard wouldn't that create condensation from the wall side and drip down? Should i paint the interior side of the chipboards with an anti-condensation paint (as used on bathroom ceilings) to...

    car traders

A trader doesn't have to have the logbook in his name if he's selling it on, this is good as it doesn't add another owner and you don't have to wait for it to come back from dvla after change of owner. If he's selling the car then he should declare he's a trader from the start, if it's...

I'm looking to buy a de-humidifier to put in the cold concrete garage to stop the damp getting to my motorbike during the winter. I had 1 several years ago and it packed up (guessing due to the cold?) but i understand the later ones don't have the elements on the back? I'm wanting to pay...
