Roof repair new tiles are slightly chipped on bottom corner

The vertical, where adjacent tiles meet, should be offset, between each horizontal row of tiles. If they are not offset, then the water can penetrate, through the top layer, then through the layer below.

External garage electricity wrongly connected to neighbours supply

Or, he might well be still waiting in for his electrician to arrive ;)

External garage electricity wrongly connected to neighbours supply

That seems to be a highly unlikely scenario, the much more likely scenario, is that the electrician simply got the two supply cables mixed up, or simply ran them to the wrong garages. What advantage would the eventual owners derive, from deliberately having the two supplies mixed up?

A really very silly question - if I may please ?

Add a sign by the bowl, 'safe for drinking and bathing'.

A really very silly question - if I may please ?

No, and two reasons... 1. The stainless steel will be able to resist the expansion/ give enough to accomodate it. 2. The sloping sides of such dishes, mean the expanding ice plug, will force itself up, to where the dish is wider.

Which Type of Boiler / System?

I would suggest trying to flush the pipework through too, whilst radiators are removed. Sound like, as the heating is working for the moment, a job for summer.

External garage electricity wrongly connected to neighbours supply

The best solution there, would be to dig a hole down to the original trench, then cut, swap, and re-joint.

What are you watching on TV right now?

We watched a weird, but engrossing film last night, by the name of 'Nocebo'.

External garage electricity wrongly connected to neighbours supply

I would bet, that both garages are adjacent, the supply cables run out to them in one trench - then the wrong cable terminated to each garage. Should be a simple job, of swapping the cables over, to the correct garage.

Oil is usually the second option, when there is no gas availability in the area.

    Radiator Sludge

It is a requirement, rather than an option, and the warranty on your boiler, will probably not be valid, unless one has been fitted.

    Central heating

I swapped the old heat only boiler, for a new one, and took the opportunity to do a general upgrade, at the same time. The old one, ran on a preset temperature, feeding a 3-port, able to heat CH, or HW, or even both simultaneously. Latest one, only does one at a time, using different output...

Wiring a relay to protect a programmer help.

I think, that the contacts are simply welding up, rather than fusing. The voltage surge, resulting from making the very inductive load, is welding the contacts closed. The relay is adequate for the load, but not adequate for the inductive load.

    What have you bought today?

Using the mobility scooter, at this time of year, can be quite chilly, especially on the hands, even with gloves on. I was looking at what they wear on motorbikes, in the cold weather, and it seems to be some sort of mitts, which fit, actually on the handlebar - covering the hand, plus bar, and...

What have you been doing today?

As a replacement for statins, to reduce my cholesterol level, they have since prescribed Ezetimibe 10mg, for the past few months. I've noticed no side effects at all, apart from a bit of knee and elbow stiffness/pain in bed. I read somewhere, that the statins, can cause some skeletal...

    Coving mitre query

The problem is one of getting the coving square in the box/equal out, as up. If you can find a suitable bit of timber, the difference between 82mm and 127mm, 45mm - you could insert that as a spacer, to get it accurately in place for cutting.

Ideas for protecting drain pipe from parking mishaps?

Similar idea... I have an IR beam, across my garage roller door, I drive in, nose first. To that, I added an LED wired, to the back of the garage. It lights up, when the rear of the car, is just clear of the roller door. The OP, could similarly, wire an IR beam lined up at an angle between...
