I've carried out some work on my home, new windows (one bay windows is structurally supporting, fitted a new flue down the chimney and installing a wood burning stove. What I hadn't realised is that I should of called building control out before doing the work and not just after completion...

    Shower Pump and JacuzziPump

arrr bugger, I may have made a mistake here, There are the odd standard junction boxes in places where carpet will be present, and while I have used cable clips to secure the cables in to the junction boxes, they still don't meet section 526, as you say. I guess its better to have spotted it...

So just to finalise what I need to do Shower Pump (In loft) It is acceptable to wire the shower pump on to the immersion heater wiring. I assume I should do do this via an FCU Question - although thew immersion heater cable is very thick (cooker wire type) and can handle the 32A MCB, would...

    Shower Pump and JacuzziPump

What about the jacuzzi pump (which is on the upper floor), just tap in to the ring mains with a fused spur under the floor boards (or does a fused spur need to be above floor boards)

    Shower Pump and JacuzziPump

Just for future reference, why wouldn't you stick it on the immersion heater wiring, is it cause of the MCB rating is way to high and dangerous? So it is acceptable to use a lighting circuit then? The lighting circuit is on a 6A MCB, running totals of 14 LED spots (5.5w each so I guess...

    Shower Pump and JacuzziPump

    TRV systems

Ok Im a bit lost now I plan to use this honeywell evo home system, which is basically a 7 day programmable wireless system. Say I program it to come on for 3 hours in the winter evening. Whilst on, all the rooms come up to temperature, will the evo system turn the boiler off its self, or...

    TRV systems

Hey Jeff, That was going to be my next question, querying page 14 of the baxi manual that shows a Y Plan full TRV system. So basically, I rewire the pump the the p/f terminal of the solo 15, and that allows a fully TRV system and removes the need for a room thermostat....correct...
