Smart TRV that works with Heatmiser neohub

As title says. I am struggling to find a smart TRV unit that can be linked to the neohub. I want the ability (may never get used) to set individual room temps remotely using smart TRV's. I have UFH downstairs via heatmiser connected to their neohub to give me remote access to the UFH. Is...

    Floor Tiling Process Help

Thanks c-K. Given that there are minimal cuts and mainly to areas that would be covered by skirting or trims i was going to use a tile wheel for the angle grinder to make the cuts. This seems to be how i see most tilers doing larger format tiles? Is that the case?

    Floor Tiling Process Help

Hi i have my kitchen and utility floor to tile. It is approximately 30m2 in total. The Substructure is a timber floor on top of joists. The tiles are 600x900x15mm limestone tiles which i want to lay 1/3 bond on top of a ditra matt decoupling layer. I have tiled a few small bathrooms...

    Fixing Ditra Matt to ply

Is a standard flexible tile adhesive with 5mm notched trowel the way to adhere the matting to ply decking. Does the adhesive need to be anything special or just a normal flexible adhesive. Also is Ditra the best out there or are there cheaper products that perform equally as well.

    Is this too long

I have a 6m wide kitchen with a 2m wide utility next to it. We are laying 900x600x15 limestone floor tiles to both. I understand 6m is acceptable and won't have issues with expansion but do I need to install an expansion joint at the door threshold or can the tiles run through the door meaning...

Dewalt router. What am I missing?

I ordered one of these >Dewalt DE6951< yesterday and it was sat on the matt when I got home this evening. Its a genuine part and appears to be a direct replacement for the 8mm collet that came with the router. It's £25 I should not have had to spend but it has solved my issue and I have been...

Dewalt router. What am I missing?

Reading a few threads on other sites it looks like there is a GB specific model with the 1/4" collet but most that are sold are euro spec with an 8mm collet. I have had to order the 1/4" collet part Dewalt DE6951 I hope this works. I shouldnt have to do this but I really can't be bothered to...

Dewalt router. What am I missing?

Right now I am really confused. I have purchased 3 of these units now. 2 online and 1 from screwfix. All have a far too big collet. The boxes say 1/4 - 8mm but they are far too big. Each time I have purchased I have needed one urgently. Each time I have then had to go and borrow one to get the...

Media wall unit (Fake fire place)

Thanks for the responses. I will reduce the size of the studwork and look at using MDF. Will the MDF give as good a fixing as ply? I also plan to install a tv bracket so that the tv can be pulled out of the recess and also tilted down as suggested. I can then cut a few ventilation holes behind...

Media wall unit (Fake fire place)

    Can you buy 4x2

I need to replace a few of the houses original joists. They are traditional 4x2 (imperial). I can't seem to find anything other than metric joists which are a few mm shorter. This would mean I would have to replace the lot rather than a few that are a bit worse for wear. Is there any way round...

How to deal with change in joist size

Cheers. Bolting may now be slightly awkward as I have insulated the other side of the ledger. Not impossible but is it acceptable to screw the support timber into the ledger instead of bolting?

How to deal with change in joist size

Yes. Extension joists set out to be level with existing.

How to deal with change in joist size

I have got to the junction where the extension (8"x2"joists) meets the original house (4"x2" joists) and I have a little section approximately 1.2m x 1.2m. I am thinking of bolting some new 4x2's to the originals and flying them in to the 8" ledger board you can see in the photo which is the...
