    Pure wax anyone?

Is there a pure wax (liquid or paste) out there that I wax my car with? I've tried Turtlewax, Meguiars and a few others but they all contain some polishing agents.

    Cleaning Alloy Wheels

Thanks. Are there two types of the stuff. I saw one at the weekend that said "Professional Wheel Cleaning Kit" on the front, and I saw one today that said "Super Alloy Cleaner" on the front. The back seems to have the same description though.

    Cleaning Alloy Wheels

Can I use Wonder Wheels on alloy wheels? The pack says it can only used on lacquered, steel or plastic wheels. Also, theres a few places where the wheels have scrapped the curb, can I still use Wonder Wheels without damaging the alloys?

    Weed killer for paved drive

Thanks. Is glyphosate safe to use on paved driveways?, or is it something you should use on lawns only? JohnD - not sure when the formula changed but there are 21 reviews at www.reviewcentre.com, the most recent is this month.

    Weed killer for paved drive

Thanks for that. Did a quick search on Pathclear and it turns out since the makers changed the formula (out went Paraquat and Simazine) it doesn't seem to do the job anymore. Does Roundup have the same problem?

    Weed killer for paved drive

My block paved drive is sprouting weeds like nobodys business this year. Whats the best weed killer out there to get rid of the pests and won't stain or mark the (red) paving bricks. I saw something called Roundup Ultra 3000, is it any good? Is there something better out there?

    Security recording software

I have some security cameras feeding into a switcher box that feeds out to a recorder (4 channel video, 1 channel audio). All the recorders I've seen (30 day continuous recording) are expensive. I'd like to buy a cheap PC and use that instead. Anybody know what kit I'd need and what (MS XP...

    HP Antenna Problem

I've bought a used HP DX2400 desktop and it came with an external wifi antenna but I can't seem to connect it to my Belkin G router. Anybody have experience of using this antenna? Can I get a manual somewhere? Is it already set-up for 802.11g networking?

    Convert Vista to XP?

I'm looking to buy a used PC that comes with Vista installed, I'd like to wipe the drive and install XP Pro (SP3). Will this compromise the PC in any way. Any pitfalls to watch out for?

    Cracked wall and rainwater leak

Thanks! One question. The deposits on the inside is a small patch (about 60cm diameter circle), I was going to take off this plaster, apply salt neutraliser and replaster. Is this a good/worthwhile idea?

Crack in wall and rainwater leak

OK for the outside render. What about the internal plaster, its bubbling and I can see white (salty) deposits. I was going to use the neutraliser to get rid of the salt and then replaster, what should I do instead?

Crack in wall and rainwater leak

I was going to do something like. Outside wall: Take off render Cut back the DPC Apply salt neutraliser Re-render with sand/cement Inside wall: Take off plaster Apply salt neutraliser Replaster Does that sound ok?

    Cracked wall and rainwater leak

I've got an external wall following on from the boundary wall. When the (brick) wall and (block) extension was built about 4 years ago the builder put in a DPM in the extension wall at the same level as the boundary wall, but left a bit sticking out and cement/sand plastered over it. Now there...
