The underfloor is concrete & pretty level though not completely.

We rent a 1960's bunglaow that has a fireplace thats been blocked up & not used since 1970's but has an ugly looking vent. The vent has been hidden by various pieces of furniture in the past but i now wish remove furniture away from this wall. The walls have paper lining. Can i cover this...

I'm considering changing the carpet in our lounge to a wood/laminate flooring but have a couple of concerns. First one is insulation. I looked around DIY store yesterday & notice can get square 3 or 5mm thick "spongy" underflooring whch apparantly aids insulation, sound proofing & flattens...

Hi all & Happy Xmas. Quick question, though not very festive i know :lol: but just had some laminate flooring fitted, with solid oak thresholds between the rooms. After getting a spot of paint on one :oops: ... i found it a nightmare to get off :x .. Is it worth coating the thresholds...

Not everyone's cup of tea i know (but i have my reasons) but i want to lay a carpet or carpet tiles in my toilet & seperate bathroom. I understand that they are available specifically for these rooms. Can anyone recommend where i can purchase either & would carpet or carpet tiles be better ...

Hi folks. All our internal doors are fitted with the "victorian brass" type handles similar to the this (though not exact) What i would prefer is a white knob but that comes complete & fixed by a white backplate ... Does anyone know if such thing is available please ??
