Our over 10 year old Whirlpool has stopped working. Basically, one of the 4 hobs doesn't start up. Interested to know what are the usual reasons are for this and if possible to fix. Failing that, looks like replacing the whole unit doesn't look too tricky as just lifts out. Thanks

I've no idea as unfortunately wasn't present at the time. I'm guessing one of these blokes has messed up. Would be interested to know which, so I can make a point of not using him in future. Problem is, both just slag each other off which is not helpful for me.

I was thinking that as the boiler is running prior to the installation of cooker and the boiler is switched off as part of this, he may put things back to how they were and hence, relight the boiler. The reason for this post was to ask what I can expect.
