    Good 9.5 kw electric shower

I the rcd another health and safety tag on we have been given? I honestly can't see what would go wrong with a shower that is a sealed box on the wall. If that's the case, why isn't everything else electrical rcd protected?

    Good 9.5 kw electric shower

Yes, it's a 10mm cable. Had an electrician check it and said he can install when I get new shower. The Gainsborough trickles water out unheated in winter and only gets hot in summer it's knackered and not worth fixing surely? No rcd as such but it has it's own switch on this main fuse box...

    Good 9.5 kw electric shower

I need to replace a very old Gainsborough 2000 that has gone faulty. It has been going for 11 years (the previous owners of the house had it before us). As it was a decent shower that lasted that long I would like as good quality at 9.5 kw. I would also like it to be the most economical model...

    Removing tile patterns

We inherited a tiled bathroom with naff prints on some of them. Other than that we don't mind plain white tiles. To avoid taking off all the patterned ones, I have heard that you can use a glass scraper to take off the transfer. They are def transfers and not fired into the tile. I have just got...

Where to get decent priced paint

I went to our local B and Q and was quite shocked at how much their paint has gone up since I last went in. Suffice to say I came out empty handed. Is there a cheaper pain supplier that does a good range of colors. I am based in Northwich, Cheshire. Thanks.

    Painting bathroom dark wood pannels

I would prefer it to be as matt as possible thinking more about it . Just thought it would have to be gloss because of the moisture. I am painting everyting the same colour, dark stained cupboard doors, skirting, bath panels (dark stained mdf) and wooden paneling.

    Painting bathroom dark wood pannels

You mean skip the undercoat and just use the 2 coats of satinwood?

    Painting bathroom dark wood pannels

That's great thanks. Just to clarify, gloss on the wood and emulsion (vinyl silk) on the walls? Not a pre coat of emulsion like white ceiling paint on the wall?

    Painting bathroom dark wood pannels

When we moved in the bathroom wooden panels and skirting are dark stained with some kind of matt varnish over the top. I want to paint the walls (paper) and wood the same color and just need advice on paint type. Egshell, silk or gloss and can I just use undercoat pre-painting rather than...
