Removing tile patterns

We inherited a tiled bathroom with naff prints on some of them. Other than that we don't mind plain white tiles. To avoid taking off all the patterned ones, I have heard that you can use a glass scraper to take off the transfer. They are def transfers and not fired into the tile. I have just got s glass scraper and used some pure alcohol but it hardly works.

Is there anything better I can use ?

Try warming them with a hair dryer.

Tried that as well as nail varnish remover and didn't shift it.
