I've got lots of used copper pipe with nothing wrong with it, so I can do this mostly for free with copper or I probably would have used the plastic stuff. If there is push fit copper, never heard of it and don't know why I'd want to, most of my soldering is fine I only ask about the rubbish...

This is a good time to examine an assumption though if anyone finds it, when I say it's cut exactly at the place it needs to be, it's because the cut lines up exactly where the farthest point you can push a pipe into a the t-piece (marked on outside of t-piece) will be, when I replace stop end...

Just because it is at the end of a very long horizontal run (maybe 10 metres) with lots of turns which is fed from a pipe which rises up directly from the boiler and forks only to go off on another long horizontal run.

It slid very very nearly off the pipe maybe a 1-2mm...

Boiler drain valve (I mean central heating drain valve, below combi boiler) is helpfully facing the wall, there is a gas supply pipe 11cm above it. I don't know if I'm allowed to desolder and move the drain valve but I'd guess since it's not a part of the boiler yes? The bigger question is...
