    BAXI 105E Boiler Noisy Pump

Hi BlueLoo It's difficult to tell when the noise is actually coming from. When I'm next to the boiler I can hear what sounds like a fairly high pitched whooshing sound. It's loudest the furthest point away from the boiler, so the back bedroom. It seems to get worse the higher the temperature of...

Porcelain Patio - Getting Myself in Knots

To karlitob1983 I'm in a similar situation in regards to the MOT and Lean Mix. I've seen John lay on both a wet mix mortar and a dry mix. I've seen him use the lean mix of 15/1 on top of t he MOT (I think). Is the lean mix dry? Can you buy it already mixed and what does it consist of? Just sharp...

Sorry another - how much for question

Thanks guys - It is very frustrsting and stressful from a buyers point of view, even more so due to the Covid-19. It seems everyone wants their garden landscaped. Nothing wrong in that, but there' s a high demand and 'amateur' or 'newbie' tradespeople all claim to be experts. I'm trying to tread...

Sorry another - how much for question

Apologies, I have a How much for question for you. I have a small retaining garden wall that needs three more house brick layers going on top. The wall will then need rendering and capping with Indian stone (I'm having some indian stone patio laid). The wall is approx 24' long with two steps in...

    Heightening wall - Mortar Mix

Hi all - Ok so I'm going to give this little project a go myself (yikes). I need to heighten a low retaining wall (the extra height will not have to retail soil etc.) I've read about the mortar mix and find different suggestions of 3/1 soft sand to cement and 3/1 sharp sand to cement and a few...

Garden - Design help and thoughts

Thanks for the tips guys - The decking is/was going to be composite and was placed there to make the most of the sunshine. I've just ripped out the old wooden decking because it was in poor shape and in the opposite corner which only got a bit of sunshine. Still, food for thought so thank you Andy

Garden - Design help and thoughts

Hi all I've never designed a garden before but now find myself doing just that. I've played around with a few ideas and I kind of know I want it to be contemporary. If I post a rough design on here (don't laugh), do you think I'd get some tips or ideas of improving it? I have some graph paper...
