    Hi we have now moved and the new house has a back boiler does anyone know a rough cost of switching this to a combi and what would be involved of is it possible to replace the back boiler with a newer more energy efficiant boiler? thanks Alan

    wireless alarms ?

    please could anyone give me advice on if wirleess alarms are any good? i have seen a couple off the shelf ones which seem to offer what i need but id like sombodys opinion. i dont need door/window contacts i only need 2 possibly 3 sensors. anyhelp is greatly appriciated. cheers.

    ok ive just checked the trv and its working fine. ive bled all rads. is it possible that even though the pump is spinning round and appears to be working that it has actualy lost a bit of its power? is there anyway i can test it without removing it? if i have to take it out i may as well put...

    ok ive flushed system through there was only a bit of black water. there was plenty of air. had heating on for about 10 mins and 3 rads got hot quite quickly. the 4th one is taking a while but is getting there slowly. the pipe going in is hot and the pipe with the trv is a little bit warm...

    Ok im back now . had to go to work then take little girl to hospital. she,s fine. so back to rad. Had to replace divertor as diaphram had gone so thought it was just as easy to replace whole thing. on doing this i disturbed the thermocouple and pilot light wouldnt stay on so replaced that...

    Hi. Its a ravenheat rsf820/20 combi. Ive just had another look at the rad and the pipe going in is hot. the valve is open (as far as i know) on the other side is a trv and the pipe into that is cold. so is the rad ? nice to see im not the only one whos up early on a sunday

    to cut a long story short. Ive replace the diverter valve and the thermocouple. Now. There are 4 radiators upstairs and only 3 of them are working. Im assuming the last one also feeds the downstairs rads of which none of them work. With this radiator i have turned both valves off and opened up...

    downstairs radiators arnt working.

    Hi. after replacing the diverter valve yesterday and having a couple of teething problems afterwards it now seems that only the radiators upstairs are getting hot? anybody got any ideas? thanks Alan

    nope not got wiring diagram. But now pilot light wont stay on. I have a feeling that the pilot light knob was still depressed a little as it could have been cought on the front panel which would have stopped it coming out all the way thus giving me the impression that it was staying alight...

    the only thing i can think of is when i was replacing the microswitch. i got a bit muddled up and could have possibly got 2 wires the wrong way round. so the middle one could be at the top and the top cold be in the middle :?: but then it might actualy be as it should. should i swop them round...

    Ok ive just replaced the diverter in my boiler and i was quite impressed it took me just over an hour. But after all my hard work there is still not hot water. When you turn the tap on the boiler ignites but the water remains cold. its a ravenheat rsf820/20. any answers?
