    Roof done right or wrong??

Yeah looks like he,s not being fair tbh. First thing you need to do is get him to turn up...and have some kind of honest talk with him. Seems to me he might be struggling with the job or its a little too big for him. He might not do a lot of whole roofs. He even working with someone? I,d...

    Roof done right or wrong??

Their new tiles. Some been scuffed a bit from either transportation or him walking on them etc by the looks of it. Is he still turning up for work everyday atm...starting to appear that he,s avoiding finishing the ends, eaves etc for some reason. Probably because I m not sure he,s ran his...

    Roof done right or wrong??

Anyone know what's causing the pitch change of the eaves row. Seem to be different from the rest of the roof and yet the neighbours seems fine. Is it smaller battens on the neighbors. Or a batten underneath kicking the neighbours bottom row up that he's. needing on his roof. Maybe a smaller...

    Roof done right or wrong??

Wouldn't really say its a rip off as such. Chimney seems a good price for 200. Retiled roofs not extortionite for 4,700. What you,ve got to factor in is the scaffolding...the bumpa to hire if he,s used one. A skip again if he,s used one. The materials aren,t all that cheap either. Plus his...

    Roof done right or wrong??

Looks nothing major to worry about to me just going by the pictures. The reclaimed ridges look like their just on to cover it for now. Maybe just needing to get more new ridges...or more cover on the slightly bigger ridges till he gets the new ones fitted. Fine line between getting a good job...

    Was I ripped off?

I d say roofers should charge a premium. Even with the best precautions its still more dangerous than your average job. Thats just my take on it anyway. 700 between the two...what about the scaffold provided. May have been rented. Even if not they ve still provided it. I d say maybe...

    Was I ripped off?

No sure where the 400 pound an hour comes from above. The price was 1,000 including scaffolding. Providing the breather membrane. The tile vents. The dry ridge system. Then bedding and pointing up the dry valley. I dont actually think its that bad. Just throwing figures out there...but...

    Water Ponding Under Roof

Not the most experienced guy graham so probably better clarifying with one of the other guys on here...but would just use the eaves protectors above the fascia on the main roof as well. Helps shed water into the gutters from the tiles. Plus stops driving rain getting in the back of the fascia...

    Water Ponding Under Roof

Looks like the guys used damp proof membrane instead of eaves protectors. Seen it done before. Need him back to remove the dpm and fit eaves protectors which as freddy says are rigid plastic. Should fix the problem.
