    Whats the diff between normal SWA and XLPE SWA? Apart from higher current ratings. Can XLPE be used instead of SWA just for higher current capacity for size? Are diff glands etc?

    6mm cable rated at 46A will be ok with 40A or 45A wont it, so will go with that. It'll be method1 so no worries

    The house, has 2 electric ovens, but gas hobs. Its heated by gas central heating. Dunno why has so many seperate ring mains. The shower is to go in seperate outhouse building run from its own "garage" CU, so it can have lights and maybe socket or two.
