I'm not going to argue with you about new builds being knocked out quickly at a low standard. Speaking to some of the neighbours and they have the same issues.

That's a good idea for future protection. Any idea what causes this in the first place? I only ask as I have noticed it starting to happen on one of the upstairs windows too. Is it just poor installation? Probably should add the house was a new build and is just coming up to five years old.

I know this is an old thread, but I am suffering the same problem. I've tightened the nut, however after a few months the problem comes back. It's like the nut is slowly coming unscrewed. Is there an easy way to fix this?

Follow on question. As that's the only bit of grout that needs redoing, what's the most cost effective way? Can you get grout in a tube or something to save buying a massive bag? Thanks!

I don't think those are grout lines. It's certainly not the edge of the tile.
