    Evening fello trades men. First i dont know a great deal about the said boilers, only that i can get me hands in them, unlike the cdi range. Changed various parts on them DVs, fans, GVs ect. Now,,, i read in a post some time ago, a problem with having to constantly reset the boiler...

    To change PRV should take no more than 30mins in my opinion. Changing either complete DV or just diaphram, now that does take longer to complete ( assuming you don't get any leaks ) :wink:

    As far as i can remember, no there is no way of switching STs you plug the digital timer to the board. Just make sure its connected properly, failing that you may have a rogue timer, it does happen. :)

    Am i correct in saying you have had a second hand boiler fitted ? You also say a plumber ! Is your plumber corgi registered ? I know where i live, including myself most, if not all, reg gas fitters would not fit second hand appliances. Thats apart from, April 1st 2005 all replacment...

    I take it heating is fine ? If it was me i would look under the boiler to make sure the pin was activating the micro switch all the time, even when the burner light goes out. This would either illiminate or prove the D/V. You can remove the black casing to expose the micro switch if this makes...

    Esp 'O' ring on cold inlet in chassis, sounds like a faulty D/V to me, interested to hear about the flow on the C/H side. :)

    24 and 28cdis, the APTs pass directly over and above the fan motor, so the little jems dont burn normally, they get brittle then crack. Unless you take them off you wouldnt know. :)

    Vaillant Ecomax - condensate leakage

    Thanks for that chris, mostly Turbomax and the wonderfull Echo max that leaks acidic crap inside and rots the inside of the boiler. Iv come across this a lot in the last year or so. :)
