Changed an heatbank on one the other month it only took me 8 1/2 hrs
I was a bit inaccurate in my initial comment just had the hot water tap running and feeling the flow pipe and the light goes out after a couple of mins on the front of the boiler for the water and then after a few seconds the boiler re-ignites and starts heating the water again

Managed it in 4 yesterday with not a single leak (all new orings and lsx)....could of shaved an hour of aswell if I had been a bit quicker to realise I had fitted the nrv in the new return valve the wrong way round
Lsx is fantastic peace of mind, used it for years on boilers with no problems, only needs a thin smear though and never have tried it on a diaphragm though, not really any need as they don't leak.
Didn't mean using it on the diaphragm itself.
Diagnosed & changed a diverter on an Alpha 240 once, needed new flow & return isolators so another engineer from my company went a few days later to change these. He told me that the isolators leaked like a bitch, so he used LSX on all of the 5 connections.
Less than a year later was called to same boiler, not responding to anything but power lights etc all on, pump turning. Shortly after I realised that the pin was not extending when the pump came on. "Thats a new diverter valve" I said, and took it out to have a look. The primary diaphragm was perforated in several places and looked like it had been eaten by acid. It also smelled like wee, just like LSX. Don't know whats in that stuff but that experience put me right off it.
Since then its silicone grease only for me where modern boiler are concerned.

I take it heating is fine ? If it was me i would look under the boiler to make sure the pin was activating the micro switch all the time, even when the burner light goes out. This would either illiminate or prove the D/V. You can remove the black casing to expose the micro switch if this makes it clearer to see.
