    Have a close look at the lower spray arm, they sometimes split on the side seam shooting water out sideways breaching the door seals. I think you have a DW663.

    One or possibly more of the three legged drum support arms has broken giving you that out of shape front of drum and squeaking on the door seal noise and heavy thumping. Would need a new inner drum to rectify, at that age probably not worth doing.

    By all means check the brushes, but this is a classic timer / programmer fault on that era of Zanussi made machines. It does the initial slow spin but then goes straight to off. Used to get exchange units from EMW but I think they have ceased trading.
