if i turn the radiator control knob up to max on the boiler obviously that means the radiators will be hot.so does this mean that i am using more gas.....if i turn boiler rad dial down to min and set external stat to 30 degrees i pressume the rads wont get hot.so do you leave rad control on...

bolier was fitted by gas safe engineer.but we didnt want a timer/external thermo at time of fitting. i have installed thermo as per instructions and as per expert who has gone through install with me.everything works, i just purely want to know what the radiator control knob on boiler does and...

hi,are you using a stain varnish...if you are you can apply 2 coats and leave it at that.if it is just a stain i would advise a clear varnish on top which will protect and make it easy to wipe down/clean.use a brush if its a stain varnish.

thanks,i thought either 1.0 mm or 1.5 mm would be ok.just wondered, because the supply to the spur for the boiler looks like 1.0 or 1.5 mm but then from the spur to the boiler they have used 2.5mm... is this ok.thanks

No.the boiler was installed about 6 months ago.we had a tower wireless thermostat fitted but was faulty so it was removed.we operate the hot water and c/h from controls on the boiler.there is no timer fitted either.we just switch on and off when required.this is why i have bought a new...

so,is it :- live in the boiler to live on the thermostat reciever. neutral in the boiler to neutral on the thermostat reciever so which go to 1 and 2 on the boiler ? the reciever has L1 = N.O CALL FOR HEAT (ON) LX = COMMON L2 = N.C HEATING...

thanks for the info,but...i understand what you are explaining but aaccording to the boiler manual i need to remove link wire between 1 and 2.the 230v supply at terminal 1 must be connected to the external control.the switched output from the external control must be connected to terminal 2...

hi,you need to be using a contract matt paint,in other words its an emulsion without vinal in it.water 1st coat down by 10-20%.contract emulsion is specially for new plaster.hope this helps
