    Screwing in Surrey Flange

Hmmm, wonder if there are anyone else! The thread is not touching the downtube but more an obsticle as you drop into the opening (thread to thread slightly offset) if you understand my meaning! I thought it was a faulty flange until I sourced another one!

I have no pic at present, I tried 2, both the same! The thread into the cylinder is quite long, maybe 40mm!

    Screwing in Surrey Flange

Hi, Has anyone had trouble threading a Surrey Flange onto the cylinder because the copper down tube is too far over to allow the thread to start? If so, how did they get around the problem? Many thanks

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

So rather than a pressure equalizing valve on both hot and cold, just a pressure reducing valve on the cold main, would this valve be for shower only or all outlets! Can you adjust exactly to a specific bar pressure then? The only reason I am with the 3 bar is that is unused and did not cost...

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

Not sure if 50 gallon is nominal or actual (about 2" x 2" x 4" oblong). Have not purchased the shower yet but assume it would have to be a high pressure one, also a pressure equalizing valve before the shower is recommended, apart from a seperate pressure equalizing valve can you get them...

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

Cold storage tank base sits approx 12" (50 gallon) above ceiling, top of hot water cylinder is approx 48" below ceiling height, highest pumped hot outlet would be the shower at approx 12" below ceiling height, the feed to the S/Turner 3bar NEG pump would be via the top of the cylinder via a...

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

Are you that slow? You have been no help at all so far, if you cannot get down off your pedestal as a plumber with others not quite so qualified as yourself, then do not bother answering posts with clever comments! We all know by now that the hot cylinder is being fed via cold storage tank...

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

So Agile, would you think that 28mm supply would be sufficient, it is only a small 1 bedroom flat, 1 sink, 1 basin and 1 shower to be pumped on the hot side with the cold being mains! Thanks

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

I can confirm that the connection on the cylinder is 1" male, needing a female connector, preferably on a 90 degree elbow/bend to save space.

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

The pump is a 3 bar, I assume from your reply that you would go for the 28mm!

Size of Cold Supply to Hot Cylinder with Pump

Hi, I have read on the forum that it is advisable to up the size of the water supply from the cold water tank to the hot cylinder if using a shower pump (this would be a 28mm feed). My question is: If the pump is to supply all of the hot (with no other tappins for hot from cylinder)...

I will be using a pressure equalizing valve for the shower as a matter of course, good mains pressure but not sure what exactly!

    Stuart Turner Pump Question

Exactly, this was my point, on recommendation of a 2 bar neg and an offer of a reduced price 3 bar neg was not sure if there would be much difference in the chances of running out of hot water (118 L) cylinder, this is only a granny annexe (max 2 people) but was not sure if 2 people were to...

    Stuart Turner Pump Question

    Stuart Turner Pump Question

Hi, Trying to find out this, if recommended a Monsoon 2 bar single negative pump for my system by Stuart Turner, would there be a down side if I were to use a Monsoon 3 bar single negative pump. I assume that the flow rate would be the same for both! What would be the difference apart...
