    l did'nt use plaster board, l used screws to put osb board on batten built frame then put one coat plaster on in coats..

    If the lot comes off & your back to brick/block & don’t have the time to wait you can dot & dab MR plaster board & mechanically fix tile backer board in the wet areas & tile directly over that...

    l would like to put 2 flexible hoses from my bathroom sink taps to 15mm copper pipes, prefebly with a isolator valve on the flexible hose. What l would like to know is the size l need for the flexible hose, is it 15x1/2" , 15x3/4" or some other size..

    Woodchip stripping...

    Got[/url] hold of one of those Heavy duty scrappers and the woodchip paper is not coming off in strips but in small bits, and the scrapper digs into the walls sometimes taking chunks out of it :cry: ....l give up. How much are these perforators to buy.. do wickes/ b&q sell them..

    Drilling into stone wall for a wood baton..

    My house walls are a nightmare, l need to put up a wooden baton so l can attach a curtain pole to it but the walls are concrete stones. l've tried masonry drill bits but they do not drill straight and go blunt leaving a bigger hole. Masonry nails just bend and glue is no good for the weight...

    PVA or not...

    Any reason to stay clear of PVA and glue size... l will do as you say and coat the walls with a thin paste solution, do l leave the paste to dry or can l put the wallpaper up straight away..

    What is permeable concrete, is it similar to ready mixed concrete delivered . Do these readymix companys delivery permeable concrete the same way and is it more expensive... It say's on the link Richard C sent that..... If the surface to be covered is more than five square metres planning...

    l would like to do a concrete driveway in our garden but l'm sure l have seen somewhere that you cannot do concrete driveways for drainage reasons :roll: is this true or have l just imagened this.... If there are no such regs on concrete driveways then l could do with a little bit of advice...
