Underfloor heating system not very efficient - what can i do

Does that mean that you set it to 19 deg, all day ? So the stats will tell the boiler when to come on/off ? Do you have any off period, I set mine to 19 deg when I know I will be in the room but 15deg during off periods. Its just that currently its not set to 19 deg all day.

Hi All. WE have got underfloor heating on the entire groundfloor of the house, it was done to building regulations spec that is the insulation which if i remember is 100mm celotex, and a screed of 70mm + tiling. The problem now is that it cost a fortune in gas to heat the space, there are 4...

    Non return extractor fan solution

Thanks JohnD, the fan is a Blauberg 150mm Timer fan, from what I remember it was stepped from 150mm - 125 - 100m for the pipe on the roof or from 150 dow to 100mm, I will remove it to find out. As I do not want to cut the pipe from the roof, I will have to do it all internally, I will take the...

Hi, During the construction of my extension, i specified that I wanted a ceiling extractor fan, whilst this sounded like a good idea at the time, I am starting to have second thoughts ? You may ask why ? Everytime the extractor fan lets in cold air even when its not on, what I expected was...

Patio balustrade - what are my options

The reason why I had the planter there was precisely for the reason you mentioned (by having a planter there and filling it up, it reduces the change in levels to below 600mm.), but nope BC are sticking to the its over 600mm to the grass line. So hence all this hassle. The bolted stainless steel...

Hi All. I have just been told by building regulations that I will need to have a balustrade as the change in levels from my patio to the natural ground/grass is more than 600mm. Building steps using blocks - can i use porcelain slabs ?

Hi All. I am building a step to step down into my garden. Please see the pictures below. My main concern is around sharp corners/edges where the...

Hi All. I would like to know what wall hung toilets are like from an installation and maintenance perspective. One thing that comes to mind is that if the system develops a fault, will the tile work etc need to be broken ? I did ask the bathroom designer and he was saying something that the...
