I didn't read the instructions because i *thought* I knew how to fit the shower!!! LOL I couldn't read the instructions until I had paid for it and trashed the box and basically gone too far any how. Its not the end of the world, I am still getting one every morning anyway. (a shower)...

cold header overflowing due to thermostatic mixer?

Hello there, I have a cold header and hot cylinder. I have recently 're plumbed' this lot, but it looks like there is a problem. If the hot water is not drawn for a long time then the cold header overflows. I think it is a thermostatic mixer shower that I added. It is connected to the hot from...

Another question about replacing cold header tank Vent pipe?

Yeh probably going to buy from SF. I want to move the tank slightly. Is it ok if I cut the copper vent pipe, and use a bit of speedfit to extend the run, but keep the copper 180 on the end? Not sure if heat is an issue. I do have a resettable immersion.

Another question about replacing cold header tank Vent pipe?

Hi, what do I do about the vent pipe from the cylineder? The old tank had no lid so the pipe fed in from the top. It came up above tank then had a 180 bend. Modern tanks seem to be completly sealed - what do i do please?

Hot water cylinder system should i clean it or replace it

Cheers. There were 2 tanks, so probably 50 gallon. They only had a bath tub and kitchen sink. Do you think i should get a bigger than 50 gallon tank? My hatch is only 500mm x 500mm so I feel a bit limited anyway. I was hoping that this 25 gallon would be enough: (Remeber this is only...

Hot water cylinder system should i clean it or replace it

I would like to know any advice about cleaning out my hot water cylinder please or if it is even worth while.... The cylinder was fitted in 2006, but the cold header tank was not touched at the time - it does not have a lid or filter on the output. It looks like it is 50 years old. At some...

Hi there, Following on from some previous posts, I am trying to get a ceiling pull switch (Mains lighting rated) that will not latch. isolator for bathroom fan

Thanks for your help. I am hoping that when switch is turned on, fan will run untill timer stops fan. Next morning, i will turn the switch off, then on again to make it run. I would be happy if it works like this. AND CONFORMS to regs (hence the isolator). There is also the potential to...
