Handyman. So do various different jobs for people. To be honest I've seen most decorators paint the first floor window frames off a ladder. I have various ladder equipment myself. But wanted some more advice on standoffs etc which could go on the frames.

Worth buying your own scaff tower and how much storage space they take up?

How much for a Scaff tower? Also would it access above porch ? Are they small enough to pack away for storage?

Ok. But why go in with hammer first? Why not set it to normal drill setting with masonry bit. This might be enough if its soft material around lintel. Won't a hammer wreck the hole?

So drill in with normal drill say 5.5 width and pull after a couple of cm. Look at drill bit for bits masonry dust or metal shavings to determine whether to use self tappers or sds to go further into lintel? What your saying seems be similar to what the blinds fitters said if I remember correctly

I actually did a couple of days working with a blinds fitter. I remember the lintels can be so hard only an sds would drill in or if metal use self tappers. How do u know if its metal or hard lintel? I guess the lintel is surrounded by plasterboardp is that right?

Brown plugs are bigger than red ones.

Its a brown plug so what would be the larger plug? How about fatter screw?

Brown plug has come out which holds blinds up. How do I repair this?

Why you say that? If you use a wood bit you still have to then change to masonry bit and push it through the hole, what's the difference?
