    if it borders a highway then its limited to 1m without planning, even if its replacing existing. you may get planning for it though, many do. speak to the planning dept.

    no it wont. thats 7.5m3 to buy and move, more like 40-50 a m3 for decent stuff. all in all its not a bad price and two days is about right

    christ im moving up where you live then if theyre charging those prices! they should be lightly rotovating whats left after the turf is removed to avoid any compaction on the old soil and future drainage issues

    the weight should be enough i would have thought. theres nothing under teh tarmac to drill into to give a decent fixing. the other option would be small pockets cut out of the tarmac, backfilled with concrete and threaded rod cast into it to bolt on to

    weve fitted these. you can get the fixings from other on-line retailers such as toolstation a hell of a lot cheaper. Good bits of kit though

    youll be better off using a 4 x 2 as a wall plate on the side fixed to teh brick where the hinges will be as you will get a stronger fixing, as the gate puts a lot of load on the wall plate. put at least 3 fixings in. we normally use 130mm long.

    they can be bedded direct onto the soil. if they are only 3 high then the easiest option is to use timberlock fastenings on each course as you put them up. they will want a post or two behind screwed to the sleepers though to stop any sideways movement.

    your looking at a days prep and a day to lay if your not used to it. Make sure you wear gloves as they will dry your hands out very quickly when handling them
