    Flattened Tap Screw

Hi, I want to change the washer on a dripping tap but when I removed the cap I was left with an almost ruined screw. It is impossible to fit a screwdriver into the groove. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Suction Cup to Ceramic Tiles?

Hi, yes I had thought of silicone but it takes a while to bond. They're suction cups which I guess will only bond under pressure? I'm tempted to try No Nails or something similar which is quick drying.

    Suction Cup to Ceramic Tiles?

Hi Everyone, does anyone know what I can use to stick a suction cup to ceramic tiles? The missus bought a towel holder which proved to be a waste of money. Thanks!

    Short flush not working?

Ok, if I press and release the short flush button, it immediately springs back up without letting water into the pan. In other words it's either stopped working or needs adjusting. Can I adjust it or should I buy a new component?

    Short flush not working?

    Closest colour to natural Calico?

Hi, I had my living room decorated around seven years ago with a natural Calico emulsion which was made up by a now closed paint shop. I recently needed to apply some Zinsser stain block and I then re-coated with a Dulux tester pot, however the Dulux Calico is a slightly lighter tone and when...

    Paint cracking?

I will certainly look into it. There are no floorboards as it's a stone built property so drilling downwards into skirting seems the best option. Many Thanks

    Paint cracking?

The DPC was applied to the front external wall but that is going the same way after 8 years. I have included a blown up photo of the cracking paint on the front wall. The crack is about an inch. I may try the Zinsser sealer you mentioned but failing that, it'll have to be another DPC.

    Paint cracking?

I had a DPC around 8 yrs ago. I'm suspecting it's rising damp and maybe I'm leaving it too soon between applications? The house is over 100 yrs old and the stone walls are 18" thick.

    Paint cracking?

Hi, I live in an old terraced house and recently spotted a rising water stain on an interior adjoining wall. I applied three coats of Screwfix No Nonsense Stain Sealer, allowing plenty of drying time inbetween applications, followed by two coats of Dulux emulson. A few days later the paint...

    Banging Boiler Noise.

Hi, I have a Worcester 28i Junior combi which is serviced regular. When I switch it on and then flush the toilet or run a cold tap it gives off banging and clunking noises. I must point out that this only happens within ten minutes of starting the boiler up, after that the noises disappear. Any...
